About Me
I am a young, result driven finance expert with over 10 years of experience in both the telecommunications industry and manufacturing outfit and audit assurance.
I currently work as the Chief Finance Officer of AMP Corporate. An Oil and Gas trading outfit with multifacets operations in the upstream sector covering importation, Gas distribution and Request for Quotation (RFQ) in the world market economy.
I was with WA Professionals as an audit associate with the listed responsibilities:
Pre-plan audit engagement with the board and management of the client in service, proper audit engagement with the approach to ascertain audit round and through the computer, align the audit trail to the audit working papers to ensure success of the annual audit engagement with the firm approached for audit purpose, submission of audit report for review to the principal partner for a review and final ratification of the board, presentation of financial statement to the clients firm.
Prior to joining MTNN, I had functioned as an Assistant Accountant with SC Johnson Wax Nigeria limited (a Manufacturing Company) there my responsibilities spanned among other finance duties being in charge of monitoring investment portfolios such as Fixed Deposit, Mutual funds, investment in shares, Treasury Bills, and other classified investment instruments in the money market for optimal returns. Also, bank reconciliation report and other banking services, Management of the company’s facilities from other investment bankers to ensure proper booking and reporting analysis for repayment, tracking of such for proper reporting purposes in the financial statement, confirmation of entries in the appropriate bank statement to align with the signed service level agreement with the business collection of banks statement of account to verify the right bank balances, preparation of cash position to identify funding needs and investing available cash, computation of investment income and interest receivables, general ledger management and reconciliation to sub-ledgers.
I was with MTN Nigeria (the Telecoms Giant in Africa) within a space of October, 2004 and April 2017 before I joined the WA Professionals.
I joined MTNN in November, 2004 as general ledger administrator in Sales and Distribution. I was part of the financial control team responsible for reconciling the general ledger on trade partners’ collection and payment to bank statement and reporting to the corporate finance and financial reporting unit of the finance department.
I eventually rose to become the team lead of the financial operations and control unit in the Sales and Distribution Division between the year 2010 - 2011 before I moved to the Finance Division in the Treasury Unit (MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd).
Upon joining the Treasury team as an analyst in 2012, I have functioned in several roles as Treasury Operations Analyst my job includes among other related treasury analyst: Management of Letters of Credit and reporting such to General Ledger for inclusion in the financial statement for the year, third party payment processing to local vendors, Form A processing, Managing Domicilary Account with the existing MTNN banks in line with the Service Level Agreement, Advance Payment Guarantee processing, Domiciliation of Purchase Order processing to bank account, e-transfers of statutory and regulatory agencies payment such as NCC. These are all in the attached curriculum vitae.

Over the years, I have been involved in a number of projects that have added value to
MTNN as an organization. These are:
- Development of the automated process of reconciling trade partners ordering processes on invoices to payment to avoid loss of revenue to the business. (Sales & Distribution Division)
- I was actively involved to actualizing the aging analysis on other creditors trading inventory (accrual stock) to matching the invoices to payment to prevent loss of revenue to the business. (Sales & Distribution Division)
- Review of the dealer account and connect stores account reconciliation to meeting up with the current audit review specifications for financial reporting purposes. (Sales & Distribution Division)
- Involvement in the team to recovering the unutilized forex value from (opened form M) letters of credit with the banks in the MTNN books within the year 2012. (Treasury Operations)

- Participated as a team to resolving audit requests in MTNN both in S&D and Treasury Unit.

- Part of the team that resolves several audit requests on yearly audit exercise in SC Johnson Wax Nigeria Ltd.

My short term career aspiration over the next 5years will be to occupy a middle management role in MTN Nigeria while in the long term spanning the next ten years, I see myself occupying a senior managerial role in a multinational company.
